Rajasthan Bypolls: Dotasara Hits Back at Naresh Meena’s Victory Claims

Bara: The recent Anta Assembly by-election in Rajasthan has sparked political sparring, with independent candidate Naresh Meena asserting his confidence in victory during a press conference in Bara on Wednesday. Meena stated that he leaves the outcome in God’s hands and hopes for blessings from Baba Khatu Shyam under the blue umbrella, expressing faith that the people of Anta will fulfill his wishes. He also promised to uproot corruption in Anta if elected, even if it means facing imprisonment. Responding to media questions about his footwear, Meena said he would continue wearing slippers until leaders like Om Birla, Shanti Dhariwal, Pramod Jain Bhaya, and Pratap Singh Singhvi are prevented from contesting parliamentary or assembly elections.

“Neither Nine Measures of Oil, Nor Will Radha Dance”
Reacting to Meena’s claims, Rajasthan PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara took a sharp dig, stating that the Congress is poised to win the Anta seat by a large margin. Referring to Meena, Dotasara remarked, “Neither nine measures of oil, nor will Radha dance.” He also indicated that the party is reviewing the activity of inactive leaders during the campaign and firmly dismissed speculation about Meena joining Congress.

Dotasara emphasized that leaders who were assigned responsibilities in Anta but did not actively campaign would have to report to the party’s war room. The party is gathering information on leaders who were inactive during the election.

BJP Survey Post-Voting
Meanwhile, BJP Rajasthan President Madan Rathore met Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to discuss the Anta by-election voting. Rathore shared detailed reports on ground-level feedback, booth-wise voting patterns, and voter responses. He noted that the coordination between the party’s leadership and organization was effective, with ministers, MLAs, and local workers working in tandem at the booth level. The impact of Chief Minister Sharma’s leadership and micro-management was clearly visible in the campaign efforts.
