Rajasthan ASI Suspended After Viral Video Shows Him Drinking Alcohol While Driving

A shocking and embarrassing incident has emerged from Rajasthan Police, putting one of its officers in serious trouble. ASI Yogesh Tiwari, posted at Basai Nawab police outpost under Kaulari police station in Dholpur district, has been suspended after a video of him drinking alcohol while driving went viral on social media—ironically, the video was uploaded by ASI Tiwari himself on 23rd November 2025.

Caught Drinking in a Moving Car
The video clearly shows ASI Yogesh Tiwari driving a car while seated in the front seat, accompanied by three others. A bottle of alcohol is visible in the front seat, and glasses are filled and consumed as the car is in motion. Reports indicate that the incident took place during official travel, and prior to this, the group had reportedly faced a dispute at a hotel over alcohol consumption, after which they continued drinking inside the moving vehicle.

Immediate Action by SP
Upon viewing the viral footage, SP Vikas Sangwan took swift action. He suspended ASI Yogesh Tiwari with immediate effect and ordered an inquiry. The SP emphasized that legal proceedings will follow, highlighting the gravity of the offense committed by a government official drinking alcohol while driving. A dedicated team has been formed to investigate the matter thoroughly.
