Baran (Rajasthan): The political heat has intensified in Rajasthan’s Anta Assembly constituency, where parties are going all out to woo voters ahead of the crucial by-election. Star campaigners from both Congress and BJP have entered the battlefield, turning Anta into the center of high-voltage political drama.
Congress Launches Aggressive Campaign — Sachin Pilot to Hold Multiple Roadshows
Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot will campaign today in support of party candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya. Pilot’s roadshow will begin from the NTPC Tiraha in Anta and pass through several local routes, followed by rallies in Siswali and Mangrol towns later in the day.
He will be joined by Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra and state in-charge Sukhwinder Singh Randhawa, who have already been camping in Anta for the past three days. According to party sources, over 56 senior Congress leaders are working on the ground to ensure the party’s victory. Pilot is expected to hold small public meetings and appeal to voters to support the Congress in this bypoll.
BJP’s Power Show — CM Bhajanlal Sharma and Vasundhara Raje to Lead Roadshows
On Thursday, November 6, BJP’s top leaders — Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and former CM Vasundhara Raje — will conduct massive roadshows in Anta and Mangrol to mobilize support for the party’s candidate Morpal Suman.
Raje, who has been camping in the constituency for the last three days, has put her full political weight behind the BJP’s campaign. Her son, MP Dushyant Singh, is the election in-charge, and Morpal Suman is known to be his preferred candidate — making this bypoll a prestige battle for the Raje family. Raje has been holding one-on-one meetings with local workers and leaders, while BJP State President Madan Rathore has also joined the campaign trail. Deputy CM Dr. Premchand Bairwa has been conducting small rallies and community meetings to strengthen grassroots outreach.
Like Congress, the BJP has deployed dozens of ministers, MLAs, and senior leaders to ensure a strong presence in the constituency during the final stretch of campaigning.
Hanuman Beniwal’s Possible Entry Creates Buzz
Meanwhile, speculation is rife about RLP chief Hanuman Beniwal entering the Anta bypoll arena. Political circles suggest that Beniwal might campaign on November 7 in support of Independent candidate Naresh Meena. Former minister Rajendra Gudha has already joined Meena’s campaign, working shoulder-to-shoulder with him.
Interestingly, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has extended its support to Naresh Meena, and AAP workers are actively appealing to voters in Anta to back him. With this, the bypoll has turned into a triangular contest, bringing together the political heavyweights of Rajasthan in one arena.
Countdown Begins — Only Five Days Left for Campaigning
Voting for the Anta Assembly seat will take place on November 11, while election campaigning will end on November 9. With polling teams set to leave by November 10, parties have only a few days left to sway voters.
As Congress, BJP, and RLP intensify their final push, the Anta by-election is shaping up to be one of Rajasthan’s most fierce and closely watched political battles of the year.
