Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case Takes New Turn: Key Witnesses Testify via Video Conferencing

Indore/Shillong: The high-profile Raja Raghuvanshi murder case has taken a new turn in the Shillong Court, with two key witnesses providing crucial statements via video conferencing. The witnesses, Disha Bairagi and Priyanshi Jain, appeared at the e-Service center of Indore District Court, connecting remotely with the Shillong Court.

Disha Bairagi’s Statement Highlights Personal Aspects

The proceedings began with Disha Bairagi, who shed light on Sonam Raghuvanshi’s personal relationships and family circumstances, revealing several significant details. However, due to time constraints, her cross-examination remained incomplete, with the court indicating she may be summoned again for continuation on the next hearing date.

Priyanshi Jain’s Testimony Pending

The second witness, Priyanshi Jain, also appeared via video link, but her main testimony could not be recorded due to lack of time. The court has noted that she may be called again if required for further proceedings.

Allegations of Witness Manipulation

Following the session, Vipin Raghuvanshi, brother of the deceased, accused the defense of tampering with witness statements. He further alleged that both young women, who previously worked in Govind’s office, could be involved in the case. According to Vipin, during today’s testimony, the witnesses appeared to attempt to shield Sonam Raghuvanshi from accountability.

Previous Court Proceedings

Earlier, Vipin Raghuvanshi had given a statement in court, during which Sonam Raghuvanshi was presented via video conferencing. Vipin noted that Sonam appeared calm and showed no signs of stress or remorse when her image appeared on the screen.

The developments mark a critical stage in the ongoing investigation and court proceedings of the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, with further hearings expected to clarify the involvement of the key witnesses.
