Rail Passengers Alert: 24 Trains Cancelled Across Bihar, Delhi & Haryana from December to February Amid Dense Fog Warnings

Patna, Bihar: The East Central Railway (ECR) has announced major train service changes from 1st December to 28th February due to anticipated dense fog in North India, affecting passenger safety and train operations.

According to Chief Public Relations Officer, Saraswati Chandra, at least 24 regular mail and express trains have been cancelled, while 28 other trains will operate at reduced frequency. The changes particularly impact busy sections in North-Central Railway, including the Prayagraj–Tundla route, where severe fog is predicted to disrupt schedules.

Passenger Train Frequencies Reduced

In addition to cancellations, several passenger trains will run less frequently during this period. The decision was made considering winter delays, low visibility affecting operations, and the overall safety of travelers.
