Rachana Samleti Appointed National Secretary of All India Mahila Congress After Spotlight in Bharat Jodo Yatra

Rachana Samleti, who gained attention during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, has been appointed National Secretary of the All India Mahila Congress. Humble beginnings, national platform

Rachana Samleti hails from a rural background and currently serves as the Sarpanch of Samleti Gram Panchayat. She also holds the position of Vice President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Mahila Congress. Educated with an MA and B.Ed, she has actively contributed to grassroots politics, particularly in women’s empowerment and tribal welfare. Her husband, Dinesh Kumar Meena, supports her political endeavors.

Extensive organizational experience

Before this appointment, Samleti served as the Joint National Coordinator of the All India Adivasi Congress and as General Secretary of the Rajasthan Pradesh Mahila Congress. Her long-standing dedication and organizational skills have earned her the trust of the party leadership, making her a reliable face for national responsibilities.

Political legacy and family influence

Politics runs deep in Samleti’s family. Her mother, Memlata Meena, and mother-in-law, Rajanti Meena, have both served as Sarpanch and held positions in the District Congress Committee. Her father-in-law, Ramnarayan Meena, has also served in multiple roles within the party. This lineage has contributed to her strong political foundation and commitment to public service.

Recognition from Bharat Jodo Yatra

Samleti’s active participation in the Bharat Jodo Yatra, where she walked alongside Rahul Gandhi, brought her into the national spotlight. Following the journey, she was entrusted with several organizational and electoral responsibilities across states, which she fulfilled with dedication and efficiency.

Empowering firsts for ST women

She is the first woman from the Scheduled Tribe community in her region to receive a national-level position in the Mahila Congress. Expressing gratitude to the party leadership, including National President Alka Lamba, Samleti acknowledged the trust placed in her and vowed to serve with sincerity.
