
Satna, Madhya Pradesh: The menace of stray and rabid dogs continues to terrorize communities in Madhya Pradesh. In a horrifying incident on Monday afternoon, a five-year-old girl playing outside her home in Packora village, Kothi Tehsil, was brutally attacked by a rabid dog. The girl sustained severe injuries as the dog sank its teeth deep into her cheeks and mouth.
Details of the Attack
The victim, Mahak, daughter of Mukesh Vishwakarma, was playing in the courtyard of her home when the dog suddenly lunged at her from behind. Before anyone could react, the dog targeted her face, biting viciously and leaving her bleeding profusely. Villagers rushed to the scene, using sticks and stones to drive the dog away and rescue the child. Authorities say that timely intervention by locals prevented a far more tragic outcome.
Severe Injuries and Emergency Treatment
Mahak was immediately taken to the Kothi Community Health Center, where doctors were shocked at the severity of her facial injuries. The dog’s bite had deeply punctured her cheeks and mouth. Given the seriousness of the wounds and the high risk of infection, she was promptly referred to Satna District Hospital for further treatment, where she is currently under medical care.

This incident highlights the growing dangers posed by stray and rabid dogs in the region, prompting calls for stricter animal control measures and community vigilance to prevent similar attacks.
