Punjab Gears Up for 350th Shaheedi Diwas at Sri Anandpur Sahib; Massive Public Enthusiasm for State-Organised Commemoration

Chandigarh: Sri Anandpur Sahib is preparing for one of the most spiritually significant events of the year as Punjab gears up to commemorate the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dyal Ji. The Punjab Government has organised a grand three-day religious programme from 23 to 25 November 2025, an event being viewed with deep reverence and pride across the state.

Event to Begin with Akhand Path and Exhibition Inauguration

The commemorations will begin on 23 November with the commencement of Akhand Path in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal. The spiritual start signifies the Sikh tradition of devotion, humility, and service.

This will be followed by the inauguration of a special exhibition dedicated to the life and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Designed especially for the youth, the exhibition aims to highlight why Guru Sahib and the revered martyrs sacrificed their lives for the protection of faith, human rights, and humanity.

Sarv Dharam Sammelan to Promote Unity and Human Values

At 11 a.m. on the same day, a Sarv Dharam Sammelan will bring together representatives of various religions, communities, and ideologies to share messages of unity, brotherhood, and respect for all faiths. The gathering underscores that Sikh history is a message for all humanity — to stand for truth, protect others, and uphold universal human values.

Guided Heritage Tours and Spectacular Night Drone Show

Visitors will also be taken on a guided tour of Virasat-e-Khalsa and other historically significant sites, allowing them to experience Sikh heritage up close.
A grand drone show scheduled for the night will present Guru Sahib’s martyrdom and the legacy of the Khalsa Panth through modern visual storytelling. The aerial display, blending tradition with technology, is expected to be one of the highlights of the event.

An Atmosphere of Devotion Across Three Days

The three-day event will be marked by katha, kirtan, seva, and collective devotion. People from across Punjab are expressing deep emotional connection with the commemoration, appreciating the state government’s initiative to honour Sikh history with dignity and grandeur.

This Shaheedi Diwas is not just a remembrance of the past; it serves as a reminder of the ideals that make Sikhism a global symbol of courage, sacrifice, and humanity. For Punjab, the programme represents the living spirit of its heritage — a matter of pride for every Punjabi.
