Fatehabad, Haryana: In a remarkable display of skill and teamwork, Haryana Police scored a major success against drug trafficking in the Ratia region, thanks to their specially trained K9 dog squad. Under the leadership of DSP Nar Singh, a coordinated anti-narcotics operation sent shockwaves through local drug networks.

Four-Legged Heroes: Jack and Rambo

The highlight of the raid was the K9 unit’s two star dogs, Jack and Rambo, whose acute sense of smell uncovered a stash that had been carefully buried to evade detection. The police team conducted the raid Friday morning in Babanpur village, where nothing initially appeared suspicious. However, Jack and Rambo sensed something hidden and led officers to the rear of a house. The dogs began digging and signaling persistently, prompting police to investigate the site.

Drugs Recovered from Deep Underground

After a brief excavation, officers recovered 2.05 kilograms of Doda Post (opium residue), which had been cunningly buried deep to avoid detection. Police officials praised the dogs’ ability to sniff out contraband regardless of how well it was concealed.

Arrest and Legal Action

The accused, Jeevan Singh, was promptly arrested on-site. A case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act at Sadar Ratia Police Station, and further investigation is underway. Preliminary inquiries revealed that Jeevan Singh intended to sell the recovered opium in local markets.

DSP Nar Singh lauded the K9 team’s performance, saying, “The precision with which Jack and Rambo detected the deeply buried narcotics is a matter of pride for our department. These four-legged officers are not only a deterrent for criminals but also play a crucial role in making society drug-free.”
