Family Feud Erupts Again in Chautala Clan: Legal Notice Sent to Abhay Chautala’s Son Karn Over Alleged False Claims

Sonepat/Hisar, Haryana: The Chautala family is once again in the midst of a political and legal storm. Karn Chautala, elder son of Abhay Chautala, has been served a legal notice by the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) following his recent statements regarding the 1990 Meham incident. The notice alleges that Karn made false and defamatory claims against JJP’s national president Ajay Chautala, hurting the sentiments of the party and its supporters.

Background of the Dispute

Karn Chautala, a senior office-bearer in the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), reportedly stated in an interview with a private news channel that Ajay Chautala’s name was included in the FIR related to the Meham case, which the JJP claims is baseless. In response, the party, through its legal representative, has demanded that Karn remove the video from all social media platforms and issue a formal apology within 15 days. Failure to comply may result in legal proceedings.

Details from the Legal Notice

The notice, issued by advocate Mandeep Kumar Bishnoi, JJP state spokesperson, states that Karn Chautala has made statements in a video titled “Chautala Ki Baat” that defamed Ajay Chautala and tarnished the party’s image. It emphasized:

  • The claims made by Karn suggesting that Ajay Chautala deliberately included his name in the FIR are false.
  • The statements have caused mental distress, reputational damage, and public humiliation for the party and its leadership.
  • Karn is warned to apologize and retract the statements promptly, failing which JJP will pursue strict legal action.

Political Ramifications

This legal tussle highlights ongoing rifts within the Chautala family, which has previously witnessed internal conflicts between INLD and JJP factions. Party officials emphasize that maintaining the party’s honor and image is paramount, and defamatory claims by political opponents or family members will not be tolerated.

The notice has stirred discussions across political circles in Haryana, and all eyes are now on how Karn Chautala responds to the legal warning.
