Private Bus Crashes into Mother Dairy Plant in Etawah; 30 Injured

Etawah, Uttar Pradesh: A private bus traveling from Etawah to Mainpuri met with a serious accident when it crashed into the gate of a Mother Dairy plant, leaving over 30 people injured, including two employees at the plant.

Details of the Accident
According to reports, the bus, carrying more than 60 passengers despite having a capacity of only 30, was reportedly traveling at a speed of around 80 km/h. While approaching the plant, the driver lost control, and the vehicle collided with the gate. CCTV footage captured the incident, showing two employees near the entrance—one of them barely avoiding the bus, while the other was hit. Many passengers sustained injuries due to the sudden crash.

The bus had picked up passengers outside Etawah Railway Station and was en route to Mainpuri. Eyewitnesses reported that a car suddenly appeared in front of the speeding bus, and in an attempt to avoid a collision, the driver lost control, causing the bus to veer off course.

Injuries and Medical Attention
All injured passengers and employees were rushed to Saifai Medical College for treatment. Police officials confirmed that the driver has been taken into custody and is being questioned about the circumstances leading to the crash.

Safety Concerns
Authorities have raised concerns over overcrowding and speeding in private buses, emphasizing the need for strict adherence to traffic safety norms to prevent similar accidents in the future.
