President Droupadi Murmu to Install Ram Yantra in Sanctum of Ram Temple on March 19

Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: President Droupadi Murmu will visit Ayodhya on March 19 to ceremonially install the Ram Yantra in the sanctum on the second floor of the Ram Temple and hoist a flag in the temple’s outer complex (parikrama/parikota), officials associated with the temple trust confirmed.

Preparations are underway for the presidential visit, with finishing work and cleaning of murals in the temple complex being expedited. Temple trust trustee Dr. Anil Mishra said the guest list for invitations will be finalized within the next two days. The event will include participation from representatives of companies involved in temple construction, along with distinguished guests from various sections of society.

Dr. Mishra noted that while the ceremony will not be a large public gathering, it will hold significant religious importance. Alongside the installation of the Ram Yantra, several associated rituals and ceremonial programs will also be organized.

He added that preparations are also in progress to soon open darshan at the Saptarishi and Sheshavatar temples located within the parikrama area. Public access is expected once the finishing work on murals and design elements is completed. Entry will be regulated through a special pass system, and only a limited number of devotees will be allowed inside the complex at a time due to security considerations.

Meanwhile, Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra had earlier stated during a review meeting that access to the surrounding temples in the complex is likely to begin by late February or March. Engineering firms Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) are expected to gradually vacate portions of the site, easing movement for devotees within the temple premises.
