
JODHPUR: The investigation into the death of Sadhvi Prem Baisa at the Ashram in Pal village, Jodhpur, has intensified, with authorities re-questioning the compounder involved in administering an injection before her demise. Ten days after her death, the cause remains unclear, and suspicion surrounding the injection continues to grow.
Uncertainty Over Cause of Death
Police sources indicate that the type of injection administered to Sadhvi Prem Baisa and its intended purpose remain unconfirmed. Investigators are examining whether an adverse reaction or a toxic substance could have contributed to her death. The findings of the FSL report are awaited, which will provide critical clarity on the actual cause.
Compounder to Be Re-Questioned
During the investigation, it could not be conclusively established under whose instructions the injection was administered. The compounder who administered it will be summoned again for questioning. Police are also exploring the possibility of conducting a narco test if deemed necessary.
SIT Conducts Extensive Interviews
Considering the case’s seriousness, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has recorded statements from over 37 individuals, including ashram staff, acquaintances, and other potential suspects. Authorities are meticulously linking every aspect of the case to uncover the truth.
Mobile Data Provides New Leads
Seized mobile phones connected to Sadhvi Prem Baisa and others have yielded information about approximately 40 acquaintances, who are being contacted to gather further evidence. Call records and messages are being analyzed to reconstruct the timeline of events.
Assistant Police Commissioner, West Jodhpur, Chhavi Sharma, stated: “The investigation is thorough, and no angle is being ignored. It would be premature to reach any conclusions until all technical and medical reports are available.”
The investigation continues at a steady pace, with authorities leaving no stone unturned in the quest to determine the circumstances behind Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s death.
