Popular Etawah YouTuber Ashwi Yadav Arrested in Shop Assault Case

Etawah police have arrested well-known YouTuber Ashwi Yadav, along with her sister Neetu Yadav and brother Shivam Yadav, in connection with an alleged assault and vandalism incident at a grocery shop that took place nearly three months ago. Ashwi Yadav, who is widely known for her dance reels, has a massive following across social media platforms.

The incident dates back to September 29, 2025, when the trio allegedly created a ruckus at a grocery store located at Vijay Nagar crossing. According to the complaint, Shivam Yadav picked up goods from the shop but refused to pay. When the shopkeeper objected, he reportedly called his sisters to the spot.

The shop owner, Shivchand, alleged that Ashwi Yadav and Neetu Yadav supported their brother, verbally abused him, assaulted him and vandalised the shop. He further claimed that during the assault, his eardrum was ruptured, causing serious injury. The victim also accused the police of delaying action on his complaint.

Incident Caught on Camera

During the altercation, Shivam Yadav was reportedly seen standing on the roof of a car, openly issuing threats. The entire episode was captured on mobile phone cameras, and the video later went viral on social media, triggering widespread public outrage.

The complainant further alleged that when he approached the police station, a head constable tore up his written complaint and even slapped him on his injured ear. Following the circulation of the viral video, police eventually registered a case.

Arrest Raises Questions

The arrest of Ashwi Yadav and her siblings after a delay of nearly three months has raised questions about the pace of police action in cases involving social media influencers. Police officials said the arrests were made after completion of the investigation and based on available evidence.

Ashwi Yadav’s arrest has drawn significant attention due to her popularity on social media, where she enjoys lakhs of followers and is known for her dance-related content. Further legal proceedings in the case are underway.
