Chhindwara: In Chandanagar, Chhindwara district, police conducted a raid on a three-story building following repeated complaints of suspicious activities. During the operation, two young couples were found engaging in immoral activities. The building owner was also taken into custody, and all accused have been sent to jail by the court.

Details of the Raid
According to TI Ashish Dhurv, the building, owned by Anil Dwivedi and located near Krishna Tekri, had seen frequent visits from antisocial elements. Acting on a tip-off, police raided the premises and found two male and two female students in one of the rooms. During questioning, it emerged that rooms were being rented out without valid identification documentation.

Temporary Room Rentals
Local residents alleged that the owner of the 20-room building rented out rooms to people for a few hours at a time. After the raid, police took preventive action against the accused. The individuals caught on the spot were also disciplined on-site before being handed over to authorities.

Arrests Made
The police registered cases under relevant BNS provisions against the building owner Anil Dwivedi, Rambagh resident Pankaj Banshkar, and Chand resident Praveen Sirsam. All three were produced in court and remanded to jail. The young women involved were handed over to their families after receiving counseling.

Community Action Prompted Police Response
Residents had repeatedly complained about suspicious activities in the building. Earlier inspections had yielded no evidence. On Thursday, neighbors spotted the couples entering the premises, locked the gate from outside, and alerted the SP. Acting on these instructions, Chandanagar police conducted immediate action, sealed the building, and initiated a thorough investigation.
