Police Move to Issue Red Corner Notice Against Scrap Mafia Ravi Kana Amid Fears of Foreign Escape

The Noida Police are preparing to initiate the process of issuing a Red Corner Notice against notorious scrap mafia Ravi Kana, following strong intelligence inputs suggesting that he is attempting to flee the country after being released from Banda Jail.

According to senior police officials, Ravi Kana has gone missing since his release and is believed to be making desperate efforts to seek refuge abroad. In view of the potential international escape, the police have begun formal coordination with Interpol to initiate global action against him.

Six Police Teams Deployed, Surveillance Intensified

As part of the manhunt, six special police teams have been deployed across western Uttar Pradesh and areas near the Nepal border to track the accused. Authorities have also intensified technical surveillance, monitoring mobile phone locations, bank transactions and the activities of his close associates.

Ravi Kana faces multiple serious charges, including illegal extortion, land grabbing, issuing threats, physical assault and involvement in organised crime, allegedly carried out under the guise of scrap trading.

Inputs Point to International Escape Plan

During the investigation, police received specific inputs indicating that Ravi Kana may attempt to escape overseas to evade arrest. Acting on this information, officials have expedited the process of issuing a Red Corner Notice. All necessary case documents and evidence are being compiled and forwarded to Interpol through the prescribed channels.

Once the Red Corner Notice is issued, the search for Ravi Kana will no longer be limited to India. Law enforcement agencies across multiple countries will be alerted and authorised to assist in locating and detaining him.

Previous Arrest from Thailand

Police sources confirmed that Ravi Kana has a history of fleeing abroad. In an earlier case, he was arrested from Thailand, following the issuance of a Red Corner Notice. Authorities fear a repeat attempt and are determined to prevent his escape this time.

“The police are keeping a close watch on every possible route of escape. Strict action will be taken to ensure that the accused does not evade the law,” a senior police officer said.

The case underscores growing concerns over organised crime networks and cross-border escape attempts, prompting law enforcement agencies to adopt swift and coordinated international measures.
