PM Narendra Modi’s Chadar Offered at Ajmer Sharif on 814th Urs; Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Present

Ajmer, Rajasthan: On the occasion of the 814th annual Urs at Ajmer Sharif Dargah, a ceremonial chadar was offered on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Minister for Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, represented the Prime Minister and formally presented the chadar at the revered shrine, following traditional rituals and customs.

Dastarbandi and Tabarruk Ceremony
After presenting the chadar, Minister Rijiju visited the Mahfil Khana, where he was honored with a turban (dastarbandi) and received Tabarruk from the Khadims (custodians of the shrine). He also read aloud a message from the Prime Minister addressed to the nation, symbolizing peace, harmony, and unity. Strict security arrangements were in place across the Dargah premises, with police personnel deployed to ensure the safety of the event.

Prominent Figures Attend the Ceremony
The chadar presentation was attended by Union Ministers Bhagirath Chaudhary, Suresh Rawat, BJP district president Ramesh Soni, Nasiruddin Chishti (son of Ajmer Dargah Diwan), Khadims, and officials from the Ministry of Minority Affairs. All attendees offered prayers and sought blessings for peace and harmony across the nation.

Minister Rijiju’s Remarks to the Media
Speaking to the media at the Circuit House, Kiren Rijiju said that the chadar symbolizes the sentiments of the Prime Minister, the government, and all citizens. He emphasized that as a Cabinet Minister, he considers this chadar a representation of collective goodwill. Rijiju expressed his privilege at visiting Ajmer Sharif once again, stating that prayers were offered for social harmony, national peace, and brotherhood.

Chadar Offered by Chirag Paswan’s Party
In addition, the National President of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Union Minister Chirag Paswan, also sent a ceremonial chadar through the party’s National General Secretary, Mohammad Sabir. The Khadim, Zuhur Baba Chishti, facilitated the presentation in line with Sufi traditions, and prayers were offered for peace, prosperity, and well-being across the country.
