PATNA: Bihar’s Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, is all set to receive a grand welcome at the state RJD headquarters today. Following his appointment as the party’s National Executive President, the Patna office has been lavishly decorated with flowers, lights, and banners to mark this historic occasion. For party workers and supporters, a special feast featuring the popular dish ‘Aloo Dum’ has been arranged.

Ahead of Tejashwi Yadav’s arrival, the RJD office witnessed overnight culinary preparations. Tejashwi Yadav’s Appointment as Executive President
Tejashwi Yadav was officially appointed National Executive President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on 25 January 2026, during a national working committee meeting in Patna. Party supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav personally handed over the appointment letter. This is the first time in RJD’s history that the position of Executive President has been created, establishing Tejashwi as Lalu Yadav’s political successor.
