Parking at Delhi Railway Stations Closed for Two Days; Metro Services to Start Early on Republic Day

New Delhi: Travelers in Delhi have been issued an important advisory regarding railway station parking and metro services over the next two days. All parking facilities at major railway stations will remain closed, while the Delhi Metro will operate on an early schedule on 26 January to facilitate Republic Day celebrations.

Railway Parking to Remain Closed
The railway administration has announced that authorized parking at four major Delhi railway stations—New Delhi, Delhi Junction, Hazrat Nizamuddin, and Anand Vihar Terminal—will remain completely closed on 25 and 26 January. Additionally, all types of parcel operations, including warehouse and platform parcel services, will be suspended at these stations during this period.

Metro Services to Begin at 3 AM
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has stated that metro services on all lines will begin at 3 AM on 26 January. Trains will run at 15-minute intervals until 6 AM to facilitate the movement of citizens attending Republic Day events. After 6 AM, metro operations will follow the regular timetable.

Parking at NoMo Bharat Stations
To provide additional convenience to commuters, parking facilities at all NoMo Bharat metro stations will remain operational. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has also increased security checks across the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor. Parking at New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar NoMo Bharat stations will be available from 2 PM on 25 January until 2 PM on 26 January.

Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and allow extra time due to the closure of railway parking and heightened security measures.
