Panther Attacks Farmer in Jhalawar Following Similar Incident in Rajsamand

Jhalawar, Rajasthan: In a series of alarming wildlife attacks in Rajasthan, a panther launched a deadly assault on a farmer in Jhalawar on Monday morning, following a similar incident in Rajsamand the previous night. The attack has left the local farming community on edge.

Attack Details
The incident took place in Makodia village, under the Gangdhar police jurisdiction. Farmer Kaluram, who had gone to his field early in the morning, was ambushed by the panther, which inflicted multiple injuries on his body. Kaluram is currently receiving treatment for his wounds.

Fear Among Farmers
Villagers reported that the panther had wandered out of the nearby forest in search of prey and entered agricultural land. The attack has heightened fear among farmers in the region, who now remain vigilant while working in their fields.

Rescue and Response
Kaluram struggled to fend off the panther and raised an alarm. Nearby farmers rushed to assist him, successfully scaring the animal back toward the forest. The Forest Department’s rescue team was alerted and arrived at the scene to ensure the panther’s safe return to its habitat.

Authorities have urged villagers and farmers to exercise caution, particularly during early morning hours, and to report any wildlife sightings near settlements promptly.
