Pandit Dhirendra Shastri’s Compassion Shines: Escorts Elderly Devotee to Katha Venue

Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh: On the third day of the Shri Bhagwat Katha at Bageshwar Dham, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri displayed remarkable compassion when he personally assisted an elderly woman on her way to the Katha venue. The heartwarming incident left thousands of devotees visibly moved.

Helping an Elderly Devotee
While en route to the Katha site on Wednesday, Shastri noticed an elderly woman struggling with fatigue and unsteady steps. Recognizing her deep devotion, he immediately stopped his car, helped her into the vehicle, and personally escorted her to the stage. Once at the venue, he held her hand, ensured she participated in the Aarti, and honored her with a traditional scarf, leaving the entire crowd emotional.

Massive Devotee Participation
The Katha, attracting devotees from far and wide, has transformed Shivpuri into a hub of spiritual fervor. The event site, spanning 65 bighas including parking areas, has turned into a grand fair, with devotees flooding the streets in devotion.

Cultural and Educational Advocacy
Shastri also urged the government to integrate Indian culture and scriptures into the education system. He recommended teaching Ramcharitmanas from class 1 and making Shreemad Bhagavad Gita studies compulsory post-class 10. Additionally, he advocated renaming streets and cities named after foreign rulers and emphasized honoring national heroes to instill patriotism in younger generations.

Historical Significance of the Katha
On the third day, Shastri emotionally remarked that a historical Katha is unfolding in Shivpuri. He prayed for all devotees’ wishes to be fulfilled according to their devotion. The fourth day will feature the narration of Shri Krishna Janmotsav along with a Divine Court before the Katha begins.
