Over 120 kg of Beef Seized in Nuh, Two Cows Rescued; Suspects Flee into Aravalli Hills

Nuh, Haryana: In a major crackdown on illegal cattle trade, Nuh Police recovered over 120 kilograms of beef near Dhulawat village in Tauru, located in the Aravalli hills. The police also rescued two live cows and seized two motorcycles used by the suspects. However, the culprits managed to escape. Two FIRs have been registered in connection with the incident, and investigations are ongoing.

Police Action and Seizure:
The beef was found packed in two bags, abandoned by the suspects when the police raided the site. Police officers recovered two motorcycles and two live cows. CCTV footage is being examined to identify the suspects. Following the recovery, separate FIRs were registered at Tauru and Punhana police stations under the Haryana Cattle Preservation and Protection Act.

Attempt to Smuggle Beef Thwarted:
Authorities revealed that the suspects had slaughtered one cow on a remote hill location just minutes before the raid and were preparing to transport the meat to nearby villages for illegal sale. Upon noticing the approaching police, the suspects fled, leaving behind all the seized items.

Challenging Terrain:
According to Krishna Kumar, Nuh Police Public Relations Officer, the police team had to hike approximately two kilometers on foot to reach the hilltop, where they found the abandoned motorcycles and two blood-stained bags containing beef.

Cows Saved from Slaughter:
During a separate operation in Punhana, two cows that were tied up and about to be slaughtered were rescued by the police. The suspects abandoned both the animals and the equipment used for illegal slaughter.

Ongoing Investigation:
Police are still attempting to locate the exact slaughter site in Tauru and recover any remnants left by the culprits. At least four suspects are believed to have fled the scene before the police arrived. Authorities have requested ownership details of the seized motorcycles from the state transport department to trace and apprehend the suspects involved in the illegal cattle slaughter and trafficking.
