Not Chhattisgarh, But MP: Security Forces Uncover Naxalism’s Biggest Secret Weapons Dump

Balaghat, MP: In a major breakthrough, security forces have uncovered two significant Naxalite hideouts in Madhya Pradesh, marking one of the largest recoveries of explosives, advanced weaponry, and communication devices in recent years. This operation comes in the wake of Hawkeye Force Inspector Ashish Sharma’s martyrdom, intensifying efforts to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026.

Weapons and Explosives Found in Forest Hideouts
During a detailed search of the forests in Sirka-Mojadera and Alitola regions, security personnel recovered stockpiles of explosive materials, launcher rounds, live and spent cartridges, wireless sets, mobile phones, pen drives, memory cards, SIM cards, and Naxalite literature. Police officials described this as the largest seizure in recent years, delivering a significant blow to Naxalite activities in the area.

Joint Security Operation Underway
Hawkeye Force, CRPF, Cobra unit, District Police, and BDDS teams are conducting continuous search operations in the forests. Superintendent of Police Aditya Mishra stated, “Joint operations with teams from neighboring states will continue. Naxalites will be eliminated at all costs.”

Detailed Seizure Inventory
The recovered items include six packets of BGL explosives, eleven launcher rounds, nine live 303-bore cartridges, three live and nine empty 12-bore cartridges, eight mobile phones (four Android and four keypad), fourteen pen drives, seventeen memory cards, two SIM cards, Naxalite literature, medicines, and other essential supplies. Authorities say this seizure reflects the growing success of ongoing anti-Naxal campaigns.
