North Western Railway to Launch 5 New Trains from Rajasthan from January 1, 2026; Complete Schedule Announced

Jaipur: The North Western Railway (NWR) has announced the launch of five special trains from Rajasthan to major cities like Delhi, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh starting January 1, 2026. This move comes as a relief for travelers during the busy holiday season encompassing Christmas, New Year, and the Ajmer Urs festival, when passenger demand soars.

Special Trains to Ensure Hassle-Free Travel
Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of NWR, stated that these special trains aim to provide confirmed travel options for pilgrims, tourists, and holiday travelers facing long waiting lists. The initiative will ease congestion on regular trains and provide a comfortable travel experience.

1. Sabarmati–Shakurbasti Superfast Special (via Rajasthan to Delhi & Gujarat)

• Train 09497 (Sabarmati–Shakurbasti): Runs on 22 & 24 December

• Train 09498 (Shakurbasti–Sabarmati): Runs on 23 & 25 December
