Noida Sub-Registrar Offices to Open on Sundays: Property Registration Made Easier

Greater Noida: A major relief for property owners in Noida — sub-registrar offices will now operate on Sundays, making it easier for working professionals to complete property registration without taking leave from work. Additionally, a designated office will remain open from 1 PM to 8 PM from Monday to Saturday, offering extended service hours.

Flexible Timings for Working Professionals

The district houses a large number of working individuals who previously had to manage property registration during office hours, often affecting both their income and schedule. Under the new arrangement, citizens can complete registration procedures after work, benefiting local residents and visitors from nearby cities who can now finish the process in a single day.

Implementation Details

Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of the Registration Department, Brajesh Kumar, stated that this arrangement will initially be implemented only in Noida, which has three sub-registrar offices. A roster system will be followed on Sundays, where one office will remain open from 10 AM to 5 PM while the others remain closed. The open office will rotate each Sunday.

From Monday to Saturday, all offices will continue with regular hours, while one designated office will operate from 1 PM to 8 PM. The decision has been made to enhance public convenience and improve departmental revenue.

Trial and Future Plans

Officials confirmed that the new schedule will begin as a trial after Holi. If successful, it could be made permanent and potentially extended to other districts in the future.
