Noida — A sensational crime in Yakutpur, Central Noida, has exposed a deadly clash driven by illicit relationships. A woman’s boyfriend allegedly lured her daughter’s teenage lover to his room and strangled him to death. After committing the crime, the accused locked the body inside the room and fled with his associate. Police cracked the case within 16 hours and arrested both men.
Teenager Murdered Over Love Affair
According to ACP Central Noida, Pawan Kumar, 16-year-old Omkar was murdered on 23 November in the Phase-2 police station area. Investigators found that Omkar was in a love relationship with the minor daughter of a woman living in the same building. The woman’s boyfriend, Altaf, who worked as a welding and steel gate fabricator, strongly opposed this relationship.
The woman had earlier warned Omkar to stay away from her daughter, but he continued speaking to her over the phone. This ongoing contact enraged Altaf.
Accused Called Boy to Room, Then Killed Him
During interrogation, arrested accused Faizan told police that Altaf had called Omkar to his room on the pretext of talking peacefully. On 23 November, when the girl’s mother had gone to her sister’s wedding in the village, Omkar was strolling in the lane, hoping to meet the girl. Seeing this, Altaf invited him upstairs.
Altaf tried convincing him to stop contacting the girl, but Omkar reportedly said he loved her and would not stop talking to her. Infuriated by this response, Altaf and Faizan allegedly strangled the teenager to death. After the murder, they locked the room from outside and fled.
Accused Arrested; Murder Weapon and Bike Recovered
The Phase-2 police team traced both accused to the green belt near NSEZ Metro Station on Monday night. Altaf, originally from Hapur, and his aide Faizan were arrested, and the motorcycle used in the crime was recovered.
On Tuesday, the police produced both suspects before the court, which remanded them to judicial custody.
