Noida Man Makes 143 False 112 Calls in a Month, Police Take Strict Action

Noida: In a disturbing case of emergency service misuse, a resident of Greater Noida has caused a significant waste of police time and resources by making repeated false calls to the 112 helpline.

According to police, Pradeep, a resident of Chachula village in the Dankaur area, made 143 unnecessary calls to the 112 emergency number in March 2025. Each time, police teams rushed to the location, only to find no real emergency.

Investigations revealed that Pradeep, often intoxicated, made calls reporting fabricated emergencies, including disputes with his wife, his mother going missing, or a neighbor’s cart blocking his house. This reckless behavior not only disrupted genuine emergency responses but also put a strain on police resources.

Following a complaint by District In-Charge of 112 Services, Satyaveer Singh, the police registered a formal case against Pradeep on Sunday evening. Authorities have emphasized that such misuse of emergency services is a serious offense and warned that strict action would be taken against anyone found making false calls.

Police officials have also urged the public to use the 112 helpline responsibly and reserve it strictly for genuine emergencies, as false alarms compromise the safety and response of those in real need.
