Noida, Uttar Pradesh: In a late-night mishap under the Sector-31 flyover, a high-speed car collided with a young cyclist, leaving him injured. The car reportedly mounted the footpath after the impact. Eyewitnesses quickly intervened, preventing the driver from fleeing and handing him over to the police.
Details of the Incident
The accident occurred around 11:40 PM on Monday under the elevated road in Sector-31, which falls under the Sector-20 police jurisdiction. The cyclist, identified as Ashok Sharma from Barola village, sustained injuries in the collision and was immediately rushed to the district hospital with the help of bystanders. His condition is currently stable.
Police Action
Following the incident, police seized the damaged vehicle and took the driver into custody. Authorities have also informed the injured cyclist’s family about the accident. The prompt action of the bystanders helped prevent a potential hit-and-run from escalating into a more serious situation.
