The Knowledge Park Police Station confirmed the arrest of Ravi Bansal and Sachin Karnwal, builders associated with the Lots Green project. Earlier, builder Abhay Kumar from Vish Town had been arrested and sent to judicial custody. In total, three of the five identified builders are now in police custody, with the remaining two still at large. Police have assured that efforts to apprehend the remaining accused are ongoing.

The accused include Abhay Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Manish Kumar, Achal Vohra, and Nirmal Kumar. The recent arrests follow findings from ongoing investigations into the case.

Investigation Focus

Police are now examining criminal records, site safety protocols, and approval documents related to the accused builders. The move signals stricter enforcement of safety standards at construction sites across Noida and Greater Noida.

NGT Notices

The National Green Tribunal has taken cognizance of the matter, issuing notices to the following authorities for a formal response:

  • Noida Authority
  • Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board
  • District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar
  • Irrigation Department

The NGT has directed these bodies to explain the circumstances surrounding the engineer’s death and the implementation of safety and environmental norms at construction sites.
