Greater Noida:
In an unusual incident that left police bemused, a 60-year-old man approached the local police station after feeling hurt for not being invited to his employer’s son’s wedding. The man, who has worked at his employer’s shop in Dankaur town for nearly 30 years, described his long-standing relationship with the family as almost familial.
According to the complainant, his employer’s son recently held a wedding, followed by a grand reception. Despite his decades of service and close association with the family, he was neither invited to the wedding nor the reception. Feeling deeply neglected, he visited the Dankaur police station seeking justice for the perceived slight.
Police Intervention
Police officers at the station carefully listened to the elderly man’s concerns. They explained that the matter did not fall under the purview of legal action, as no law had been broken. The officers clarified that it was a personal and social issue best resolved through direct communication with the family. After counseling, the man was peacefully sent back home.
This incident highlights how emotional grievances, even over social occasions, can sometimes prompt individuals to seek formal intervention, underscoring the human need for recognition and respect in long-term personal and professional relationships.
