Noida, Uttar Pradesh: A BTech student in Noida has been arrested after crashing a rented Thar SUV into a parked car and a bike while showing off at a wedding.
According to police, the student, identified as Yuvraj, rented the Thar for ₹4,500 to make an impression at his cousin’s wedding in Siroli, Loni (Ghaziabad). Accompanied by three friends, he was driving through Alpha-1 Sector when he collided with a stationary i10 car and a nearby bike. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles.
Student Flees the Scene
After the accident, Yuvraj drove away from the scene. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras and the video quickly went viral on social media.
During interrogation, Yuvraj admitted that he had rented the Thar to “show off” at the wedding. Noida police have registered cases against him for negligent driving and hit-and-run.
