
Patna, Bihar: Migrant workers and families planning to return to Bihar for Holi can now breathe a sigh of relief. The Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) has announced special interstate AC bus services to ensure affordable and comfortable travel, especially for those unable to secure train tickets.
From February 23 onwards, passengers can travel from Delhi to Patna in an AC sleeper bus for just ₹1,893. AC seater buses on the same route are priced at ₹1,254. The Bihar government is providing subsidies of ₹919 for sleeper and ₹619 for seater buses. Buses will depart from Gandhi Maidan Bus Stand in Patna at 11:30 AM, and from Delhi at 1:00 PM.

- Gaya–Delhi: AC seater ₹1,158; AC sleeper ₹1,747. Departure from Gaya at 7:30 PM, Delhi at 1:30 PM.
- Muzaffarpur–Delhi: AC seater ₹1,121 (after subsidy); AC sleeper ₹1,692 (after subsidy). Departure from Muzaffarpur at 11:20 AM, Delhi at 2:20 PM.
- Purnia–Ambala: AC seater ₹1,563. Departure from Purnia at 11:30 AM, Ambala at 4:00 PM.
- Patna–Ambala: AC seater ₹1,334. Departure from Patna at 11:30 AM, Ambala at 10:00 AM.

During the festive season, BSRTC will run 62 buses to Delhi, 40 to Haryana, 10 to Jharkhand, 5 to West Bengal, and 2 to Uttar Pradesh. Fares will remain regulated, preventing private operators from overcharging. All buses will accept UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking, and on-spot e-ticketing, ensuring convenient, affordable, and comfortable travel even when train tickets are unavailable.
