No One Will Obstruct Gaushala Work’: Rajasthan Minister Kirodi Lal Meena Writes Assurance on Woman’s Palm

Jaipur: In an unusual yet heartfelt gesture, Rajasthan Agriculture Minister Kirodi Lal Meena assured a woman that no illegal obstruction or encroachment would be allowed on gaushala (cow shelter) land—by writing the assurance directly on her palm with a pen and signing it.

The incident occurred on Monday during a public grievance hearing held informally at a tea stall on Airport Road in Jaipur. As soon as locals learned that the minister was listening to public complaints, a large crowd gathered at the spot.

Woman from Dausa Approaches Minister with Complaint

During the Jan Sunwai, a woman from Sikrai in Dausa district approached the minister and alleged that gaushala land in her area was under threat of illegal encroachment. After hearing her complaint, Meena assured her that “no one will stop the work of the gaushala.”

When the woman expressed fear that local officials might not take her complaint seriously, the minister took an unexpected step: He held her palm, wrote “No one will obstruct gaushala work”, signed beneath it, and handed her the written assurance on the spot.

Minister’s Unique Style Becomes a Talking Point

The gesture quickly became the highlight of the grievance session. Those present were surprised by the minister’s direct and unconventional method of reassurance. Videos and images of the incident began circulating widely on social media, drawing public attention and praise for the minister’s promptness.

Meena reiterated that addressing public grievances remains his top priority. He also instructed government officials to ensure that no administrative delays or obstructions occur in matters related to gaushala land.

Immediate Instructions to Officials

Throughout the public hearing, Minister Meena listened seriously to complaints, most of which pertained to electricity and drinking water supply. He immediately called concerned officials from the venue, directing them to resolve the issues without delay.

The minister’s impromptu assurance—written on a citizen’s palm—has now become a major topic of discussion both offline and online.
