Jaipur:
Strict entry regulations have been put in place for the Army Day Parade scheduled to be held in Jaipur on January 15. For the first time, the prestigious parade will take place on Mahal Road in Jagatpura, and authorities have made it clear that no spectator will be allowed entry without a valid pass.
The Army Day Parade, showcasing the valour, discipline and operational strength of the Indian Army, is expected to draw large crowds. To ensure smooth management and security, the Jaipur Police have introduced a mandatory pass system, with all passes being issued free of cost.
Free Passes Available on SSO Portal
Jaipur Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal announced that entry passes can be obtained by logging in to the Rajasthan SSO portal (sso.rajasthan.gov.in). Due to limited seating arrangements, the number of passes is restricted.
- One pass will be valid for one person only
- Carrying a valid photo identity card along with the pass is compulsory
The police commissioner has urged citizens not to arrive at the parade venue without a pass to avoid inconvenience and crowding.
Entry Timings and Security Measures
For security reasons, spectators must reach their designated seating areas by 8:00 am. Entry will be completely closed after 8:30 am.
Items such as weapons, inflammable materials, matchsticks, or any suspicious objects are strictly prohibited at the venue.
Parking, Seating and Route Information Shared
The police administration has already released detailed information regarding:
- Seating blocks and layout maps
- Block in-charge officers and contact details
- Designated parking areas and approach routes
In case of any difficulty, spectators may contact the concerned officers deployed at the venue.
Live Telecast Across Villages
For those unable to attend in person, the Army Day Parade will be live-streamed across all gram panchayats in Rajasthan, ensuring widespread public participation in the historic event.
Appealing to citizens, Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal said that since the Army Day Parade is being held in Jaipur for the first time, people should cooperate with authorities and maintain peace, discipline and civic sense. Any suspicious activity should be immediately reported to 100, 112 or 7300363636.
Senior police officials, including Special Police Commissioner Rahul Prakash, Additional Police Commissioners Dr Rajeev Pachhar and Yogesh Dadhich, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sumit Mehrda, were present during the press briefing.
