Bhopal: Nitin Nabin, recently appointed as the BJP’s Executive National President, has long-standing ties with Madhya Pradesh. In 2010, he was appointed the state in-charge of the BJP’s Youth Wing in Madhya Pradesh, during which he actively toured multiple districts, including tribal regions, strengthening the party’s grassroots network.
From Patna to Bhopal to Honor a Colleague
In a memorable anecdote from his early days, Nitin Nabin traveled from Patna to Bhopal to ceremonially have state secretary Rajnish Agarwal ride a horse during his wedding on 15 December 2011. This lighthearted gesture showcased Nabin’s personal touch and rapport with party leaders.
Extensive Work in Tribal Regions
Former MLA Jeetu Jirati recalled that between 2010 and 2013, Nitin Nabin led the Youth Wing across Madhya Pradesh, organizing programs and mobilizing youth, especially in tribal areas. Notably, he coordinated a two-day state committee meeting in Kathiwara, marking the first such gathering in a tribal region despite limited facilities.
Impact on Electoral Politics
Under Nitin Nabin’s leadership, senior Congress leader Kantilal Bhuria faced defeat in tribal constituencies. Jirati highlighted a major event in Azad Nagar, Bhabra, which drew over 200,000 tribal activists, organized meticulously by Nabin. His grassroots approach has left a lasting mark on the BJP’s outreach and electoral strategy in the state.
