Azamgarh: Former MP Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, visited Azamgarh on his birthday and took a playful dig at current SP MP Dharmendra Yadav over ongoing development projects, including railway initiatives.
During his visit, Nirahua remarked that Dharmendra Yadav could get a photo clicked with the Railway Minister, as railway work in Azamgarh is about to begin—a project whose demand was originally raised by Nirahua himself.
Speaking to the media, Nirahua highlighted that the development projects he had pushed for are now gradually coming to fruition on the ground. “Whatever development plans we had facilitated for Azamgarh are now being implemented one by one,” he said. In a light-hearted tone, he added, “I don’t think Dharmendra Yadav initiated this himself. If his team is trying to take credit, that’s fine, as long as Azamgarh sees progress.”
Nirahua also commented on the ongoing Ring Road project in Azamgarh, taking another subtle jab at the current MP. He said, “Dharmendra Yadav is a responsible MP; he wouldn’t take credit for someone else’s work. While his supporters may claim the credit, it was we who prepared the DPR and requested Nitin Gadkari to approve the project during our tenure. When I bring Gadkari to Azamgarh, he will clarify who initiated and facilitated this work.”
Earlier in the day, Nirahua celebrated his birthday at the revered Bhanwarnath Temple in the city, performing Rudrabhishek and offering prayers to Lord Shiva. Notably, he refrained from commenting on matters related to Shankaracharya or Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
