NIA Conducts Raids in Mewat in Connection with Red Fort Car Blast; Explosives Suspected to Be Procured from Here

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched a series of raids in Mewat, Haryana, in connection with the recent car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort. The operation follows investigations into a recently apprehended terror module.

According to official sources, the NIA suspects that the ammonium nitrate explosives used in the Red Fort blast were purchased from locations in Mewat. The raids, carried out early Saturday morning, targeted multiple addresses linked to the terror module under investigation.

The move is part of an intensive crackdown by the NIA, aimed at tracing the supply chain of the explosives and identifying all individuals involved in planning and executing the attack. Investigators are working to ensure that no links remain unchecked and to prevent any potential future threats.

This development comes as authorities intensify efforts to strengthen security in the national capital and surrounding areas, following the high-profile incident near one of India’s most sensitive landmarks.
