New Year Party Turns Costly for Student: Faked Kidnapping Unraveled by Police in Minutes

Unnao: A 9th-grade student in Unnao caused a major scare when he claimed he had been abducted by two men on a motorcycle while on his way home from school. According to the boy, he narrowly escaped the alleged kidnappers, leaving his school bag behind, sparking panic among his family and prompting immediate police action.

However, the truth emerged within hours, leaving everyone astonished. The student, identified as Anmol, son of Ranjit from Lodhi Kheda village, admitted during police questioning that the story was entirely fabricated.

The boy had received money from home to pay his school fees, but he spent some of it on a New Year party with friends. Fearing his parents’ reaction, he concocted the kidnapping story. His school bag, hidden near a primary school in Dhaukalpur, was recovered by the police along with the remaining money.

Thana In-charge Rahul Singh confirmed the incident was a false alarm. Both the student and his parents were counselled and advised not to repeat such actions in the future.
