Noida: A new video related to the death of software engineer Yuvraj Mehta at a construction site in Noida’s Sector-150 has surfaced, intensifying public scrutiny over the administration’s handling of the incident. The footage, reportedly recorded on the night of 16 January by passersby, is going viral on social media.
The 1-minute 44-second video shows the site crowded with hundreds of people, including fire trucks, ambulances, and officials from government departments. In the video, a young man narrates live, accusing the police and administration of performing mere formalities while Yuvraj struggled and ultimately drowned. “He was drowning right in front of our eyes, but no one was able to save him,” the narrator says.
Allegations Against Police and Administration
The person recording the video describes arriving at the site around midnight, noting that emergency services were present but allegedly ineffective. He emphasizes that the administration appeared to be completing only procedural formalities, and despite efforts by friends to rescue Yuvraj, he could not be saved.
Throughout the recording, the narrator repeatedly stresses the value of life, saying, “Look, life is very precious. Be careful. Today I saw a life lost right before my eyes.”
Ongoing Investigation
Navbharat Times has not independently verified the video. Multiple clips related to the incident have already circulated on social media. Police and the Special Investigation Team (SIT) continue their probe into the matter, with findings expected to be submitted to the government soon.
