
Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh: A 19-year-old Nepali national was apprehended by the 43rd Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) at the India-Nepal border in Aligarhwa, Siddharthnagar, while attempting to enter India illegally. The youth was found carrying ₹3 lakh in Indian currency along with a motorcycle.
According to BSF officials, personnel on duty at the Aligarhwa check post spotted the individual approaching India from Nepal on a motorcycle. Upon inspection, a bag containing ₹3 lakh was recovered, and the motorcycle was seized.
The suspect, identified as Sahid Ali Fakir, son of Zakir Ali Fakir from Nepal, failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for his actions during questioning, raising further suspicion. In coordination with the party commander, the matter was escalated to the concerned authorities. After completing necessary formalities, the recovered cash and motorcycle, along with the suspect, were handed over to the Customs Unit in Kakrahwa, Siddharthnagar.
BSF officials emphasized that the 43rd Battalion is conducting continuous checks, patrols, and special operations along the India-Nepal border to prevent smuggling and other illegal activities. This includes the seizure of prohibited items such as unaccounted currency, narcotics, and other contraband.
