Naxal Commander Hidma’s Love Story: Marriage After Two Years of Persistence, Sterilization Followed Party Rules

Raipur: Notorious Naxal leader Hidma, whose reign of terror destroyed several villages, met his end recently, along with his wife Raje. Amid the focus on his violent life, his love story has now come to light, revealing how he pursued Raje despite initial rejection.

Meeting in the Jungle

Hidma, who joined the Naxal movement at the age of 15–16, was deeply involved in expanding the organization’s activities. During one of his missions, he met Raje, also a Naxal operative, in the forest. Hidma developed feelings for her and eventually proposed marriage.

However, Raje initially rejected Hidma’s proposal, as per the strict rules of the Naxal organization. Both continued their missions together, but their hearts were not aligned. Hidma, determined to win her over, pursued her relentlessly.

Acceptance After Two Years

According to Hidma’s former bodyguard, who has now surrendered, Hidma continued to convince Raje for two years. Eventually, Raje agreed to marry him.

Sterilization and Marriage Within the Organization

As per Naxal rules, senior cadres like Hidma were required to undergo sterilization before marriage. Hidma complied with these regulations. Their wedding was held within the organization, with Maoist cadres from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh participating as part of a unique ceremony. On the day of the marriage, Raje wore a black uniform and carried a weapon, rather than the traditional red bridal saree, while Hidma was also armed.

Tragic End Together

Hidma and Raje later died together in an encounter in Andhra Pradesh. Their final rites were performed in their native village of Poorthi. Villagers revealed that the couple had informed them about their marriage back in 2010, long before their deaths.
