Nawada Police Bust Illegal Prostitution Ring, Rescue Two Minor Girls

Nawada, Bihar – Nawada police have uncovered an illegal prostitution operation, arresting four men and rescuing two minor girls, officials said. The action took place on the night of Thursday, January 29, in a house located in Naveenagar under the jurisdiction of Nawada’s Nagar police station.

Suspicious Activity Leads to Police Raid

Authorities received a tip-off that laughter and voices of young men and women were being heard from a house in Naveenagar. Concerned locals suspected that minors were being exploited for illegal sexual activities. Acting on this information, the Superintendent of Police of Nawada directed the Sadar SDPO to lead a raid, with a team comprising the Nagar station in-charge, other officers, and female police personnel.

Four Men Arrested, Two Minor Girls Rescued

During the raid, the police found four men and two minor girls inside the house. Upon questioning by female officers, the girls revealed that they were being forced into prostitution in exchange for money. The house was thoroughly searched, and evidence related to the illegal activity was seized. The rescued girls were placed under female police protection, while the four men were taken into custody.

Confessions and Judicial Custody

Interrogation of the arrested men led them to admit their involvement in running the prostitution operation. Following the confessions, all four individuals were sent to judicial custody. Police are continuing investigations to apprehend other suspects connected to the case.

Identities of the Arrested

The arrested men have been identified as Roshan Kumar alias Saheb Kumar alias Langda (24), a resident of Sohdi, Nalanda; Gulshan Kumar (25), Tanu Kumar (27), and Priyanshu Kumar (22), all residents of Nardiganj, Nawada.

Items Seized

During the raid, police recovered three Android phones, three keypad phones, one Aadhaar card, SIM cards, four packets of condoms, one box of medicine, two packs of cigarettes, a matchbox, a Paytm scanner machine with box, ₹10,820 in cash, and a sound system.

The Nawada police have vowed to continue their crackdown on illegal prostitution and ensure the safety of minors in the district.
