Jodhpur: The death of renowned storyteller Sadhvi Prem Baisa from Rajasthan has left many unanswered questions. The case became more puzzling when, approximately four hours after doctors declared her dead, a post appeared on her official Instagram account, being treated as a possible suicide note. Sadhvi Prem Baisa passed away on Wednesday evening at around 5:30 PM.
Timeline of the Incident
According to ACP (West) Chhavi Sharma, Sadhvi Prem Baisa was transported from her Boranada ashram by her father and a young associate to Preksha Hospital on Pal Road. Doctors at the hospital made every effort to save her, but she showed no signs of life and was officially declared dead.
Hospital sources reported that her father had mentioned she had a fever, and nursing staff at the ashram administered injections before her condition deteriorated.
Ambulance Refusal
Dr. Praveen Jain of Preksha Hospital stated that while the hospital offered to provide an ambulance to transfer the body for post-mortem and legal procedures, Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s father refused the ambulance and opted to use a private vehicle.
Social Media Post Raises Questions
The most shocking aspect of the case is the timing of the Instagram post. Hospital sources confirmed that Sadhvi Prem Baisa had passed away around 5:30 PM, yet a long post appeared on her account at 9:28 PM, prompting widespread speculation and questions about the circumstances.
The Boranada police are investigating all angles of the case, including the timing of her death and the social media post.
Contents of the Alleged Suicide Note
The post reportedly expressed that Sadhvi Prem Baisa had devoted every moment of her life to propagating Sanatan Dharma. She mentioned having written letters to Adi Jagatguru Shankaracharya and several eminent saints requesting permission for an Agni Pareeksha (trial by fire) to prove her innocence. The post further stated that she could not know what destiny had in store for her. On first glance, the post appears to function as a suicide note.
The investigation continues, as authorities examine both the circumstances of her death and the mysterious social media activity that followed.
