Meerut: The death of eight-grade student Lakshya in Meerut’s Sankhi Vihar Colony has turned into a troubling mystery. Initially presumed to be a domestic accident, Lakshya’s father, a BSF officer currently stationed in Tripura, has strongly asserted that his son’s death was a murder. Following his complaint, police have registered a case against unknown individuals.
Incident Details
Lakshya, a bright student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Punjab Line, was found lying face down in the upper room of his home. Disturbingly, the ribbon of his school ID card was tied around his neck. His mother, Gudiya, who had taken their younger daughter to a doctor in the afternoon, returned home to find Lakshya upstairs, saying he was going out to play. When he did not return by 6:30 PM, the family grew concerned. Upon searching the room, they discovered Lakshya lifeless and immediately rushed him to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
Father Alleges Murder, Not Accident
Deepak, Lakshya’s father, has categorically stated that this was not an accident. He submitted a written complaint to the police asserting that his son was murdered and that attempts were being made to disguise it as a domestic mishap. Based on his complaint, the Meerut police have begun investigating the case from a homicide perspective.
Police Take Swift Action
Late Wednesday night, Meerut SSP Dr. Vipin Tada visited the scene personally to oversee the investigation. A forensic team was summoned to re-examine the evidence scientifically. SP City Ayush Vikram Singh and CO Daurala were also present. Police have begun detailed questioning of all family members, and the postmortem report, along with preliminary forensic findings, has been sent for re-evaluation by an expert panel. The SSP confirmed that the case is being treated with utmost seriousness, and all possible angles are being thoroughly investigated.
