Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: Posters of a girl named Pooja, reportedly missing for 17 years, have resurfaced across public spaces in Meerut, reigniting speculation and concern. The posters, spotted on Delhi Road, Paratapur police station area, Mohiuddinpur, Bhurbaral, Metro South Station, Paratapur Chowk, Pootha Road, Sangam Chowk, and Rithani, have left locals puzzled and the matter quickly went viral on social media.
Posters Target Community and Officials:
While previous posters had targeted district authorities, police, and the BJP district president, the latest batch specifically mentions the Christian community, adding a new dimension to the case. The posters provide minimal information about Pooja, but the text “missing for 17 years” has deepened the mystery. Some posters also mention the names “Arun, Bijnor”, suggesting that the matter may extend beyond Meerut.
History of Similar Posters:
A similar campaign appeared nearly two years ago in the same area. At that time, police investigated but could not trace the person responsible or find any concrete leads about Pooja’s disappearance. The reappearance of the posters has raised questions about the purpose behind this renewed campaign after 17 years.
Police Investigate:
In response, Paratapur police are reviewing CCTV footage from areas where the posters appeared to identify who placed them and at what time. Authorities are examining whether this case is connected to the old missing person report or if someone is deliberately spreading confusion.
Ongoing Mystery:
At present, Pooja’s identity, her disappearance, and the individuals behind the posters remain unclear. The case, which began in Meerut, now appears to have possible links to Bijnor, and police continue to investigate all angles carefully in an effort to uncover the truth.
