Mystery Deepens in Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s Death; Nursing Staff’s Statement and Father’s ‘Unfulfilled Vow’ Raise Questions

Jodhpur: The circumstances surrounding the suspicious death of Sadhvi Prem Baisa in Rajasthan remain shrouded in mystery. While the grieving father expresses his anguish, the nursing staff involved has come forward claiming innocence. The details of what exactly happened in the room—the meal or the two injections—are expected to be revealed only through the Visra report.

Nursing Staff Defends Actions
Nursing professional Devisingh Rajpurohit has clarified the allegations against him. He stated that on 28 January, he administered Dexona and Dynapar injections on the advice of the attending doctor. “I have 18 years of experience in government service. I administered the injection in the muscle, and I have treated Baisa and her aides before without incident,” Devisingh said. He added that although he is under immense mental pressure, he is cooperating fully with the police investigation.

Father’s Emotional Statement
Sadhvi’s father, Virmanath, broke his silence with an emotional statement, saying, “I am deeply saddened that I could not fulfill the vow I had taken under the pressure of saints. We are enduring this tragedy with their blessings, but I pray that no one else ever goes through this.” On the day of the incident, Virmanath personally took dal (lentils) to his daughter’s room, and shortly afterward, she experienced breathing difficulties.

Awaiting the Visra Report
The police investigation is now entirely focused on the Visra report, which is expected to shed light on whether the death was due to an adverse reaction to the injections or some other cause. Until the laboratory findings are released, both the nursing staff’s experience and the father’s respect for the saints continue to add layers of mystery to this tragic case.
