Unnao, January 15, 2026: In an extraordinary event in Bichpari village of Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, villagers discovered a golden-hued statue of Khatu Shyam beneath a Peepal tree, following repeated dreams experienced by a local resident.
According to the resident, Ajay Pal, he had been having vivid dreams of Khatu Shyam for the past 25 days, in which the deity reportedly urged him to “take us out and install us.” Initially dismissing the visions, Ajay Pal was compelled to act when the dreams began affecting his sleep.
Following the directions from his dreams, Ajay Pal conducted a small excavation under the Peepal tree and uncovered a finely crafted statue of Khatu Shyam. The villagers immediately constructed a base using bricks at the site and installed the statue, commencing rituals and worship on the spot.
News of the discovery quickly spread across the region, drawing locals who came to offer garlands and pay their respects. The police were also informed and visited the site to verify the situation.
Thana Officer Sharad Kumar confirmed that a small statue was found during excavation in Ajay Pal’s field and was installed there. He added that relevant authorities had been informed. While the incident has become a topic of local fascination, NBT Online has not independently verified the report.
