Mumbai: The Mumbai Police has been widely praised for reuniting a missing 4-year-old girl, Aarohi, with her family after she went missing in May. Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, took to X (formerly Twitter) to commend the police for their unwavering determination and courage in resolving the case.
A Story of Persistence and Care
An X user, Mohini Maheshwari, shared Aarohi’s emotional story, highlighting the Mumbai Police’s relentless efforts. The girl was safely returned to her family on 14 November, coinciding with Children’s Day celebrations. Maheshwari’s post emphasized that the police never closed the case and followed every lead diligently.
How the Police Conducted the Search
Some officers reportedly kept Aarohi’s photo in their shirt pockets, treating her as if she were their own daughter. Posters were distributed across the city, and every clue was thoroughly investigated. When Aarohi was brought back to Mumbai, the Crime Branch welcomed her at the airport with balloons and a brand-new blue frock.
Anand Mahindra’s Praise
Reacting to the reunion, Anand Mahindra wrote, “Mumbai Police, you have gifted us hope and joy. This is why you are among the best police forces in the world.” The heartfelt moment saw Aarohi running straight into the arms of the officer closest to her, instead of retreating.
Social Media Celebrates Mumbai Police
The story drew an outpouring of love and appreciation on social media. Users commended the dedication of the police officers and thanked them for ensuring Aarohi’s safe return, calling it a shining example of commitment and compassion in law enforcement.
