According to the IMD, the next 48 hours are expected to remain mostly dry, which could further intensify the heat. Across the state, temperatures in several districts are already 3–4°C above normal.

The Nimar and Malwa regions are experiencing the most pronounced rise in temperatures. Alongside Khargone, districts such as Khandwa and Barwani are recording unusually high readings. Major cities, including Bhopal and Indore, are seeing bright sunshine and warm days. The IMD notes that two successive western disturbances in northern India on February 13 and 16 may bring partial cloud cover to northern districts like Gwalior, Chambal, Bhind, and Morena, potentially lowering temperatures by 1–2°C.

Saturday’s temperature is expected to range from 13°C to 30°C.
