
Bhopal: In a historic move recognizing extraordinary bravery, the Madhya Pradesh Police have awarded 61 officers with out-of-turn promotions for their role in eliminating Naxal activities in the state. The list of promoted personnel has been officially released, highlighting the officers’ courage and dedication in neutralizing the Naxal threat in Balaghat.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and DGP Kailash Makwana praised the officers for their exceptional valor. According to the police headquarters, these officers risked their lives to take down four notorious area committee members of the GRB division’s Malajkhand Naxal group during armed encounters.
Details of the Promotions
The promotions cover personnel from the Special Armed Force (SAF) and Balaghat district police. Out of the 61 officers considered, 60 have already been promoted, while one, Head Constable Sant Kumar Dhurve, has his promotion temporarily withheld due to a pending criminal case.

- Sub-Inspector to Inspector: Bipin Chandra Khalko, Inder Singh Biduri, Shubham Pratap Singh Tomar, Ratnesh Meena, Narvadesh Srivastava
- Assistant Sub-Inspector to Sub-Inspector: Munendra Singh

Officers’ Heroic Feat
These brave officers successfully dismantled the Malajkhand Naxal group, eliminating notorious Naxals including Rita alias Tubbi, Suman, Imla alias Tulsi, and Ravi Madavi during operations. The recognition is expected to boost morale among police personnel deployed in Naxal-affected regions.
The Madhya Pradesh government’s decision underscores the value it places on courage and commitment in maintaining law and order, particularly in areas previously plagued by Naxal insurgency.
